1) Work Stream for Graduates

3) Second Post-Study Work Stream

  • Suppose you have a Temporary Graduate Visa and graduated from an Australian university in a rural location. With this visa, you can work and live in Australia for a limited time.
  • Work and stay in Australia for 1 to 2 years, depending on education location (must be regional)
  • Have a recent degree from a CRICOS-approved program.
  • Visit Australia with your family.
  • There is no processing time available.

4) Stream of substitution

  • This visa is for current and previous Temporary Graduate Visa holders who could not travel owing to COVID-19 travel limitations. With this visa, you can work and live in Australia for a limited time.Usually between the ages of 18 months and five years.
  • Have a recent degree from a CRICOS-approved program.
  • Previous Post Study Work visa holders (for two years) will now be granted three years (This is a temporary measure)
  • Previous Graduate Work Stream visa holders (for 18 months) will now be granted a two-year extension (This is a temporary measure)
  • Visit Australia with your family.
  • There is no processing time available.

Current and previous temporary graduate visa holders who lost time owing to COVID-19 travel limitations can apply for a replacement visa beginning July 1, 2022. Visa holders must meet the following requirements to be eligible:

  • Have a valid temporary graduate visa or previously had a temporary graduate visa that expired on or after February 1, 2020.
  • Having spent at least one day outside Australia between February 1, 2020, and December 15, 2021.
